IMIM Webinar 4: “Developments in the Agile Project Management”
Learning outcomes:
- Choosing the right Project Management methodology and using appropriate project planning and control tools is a key to effectively manage teams and deliver service and products.
- The webinar introduces to the latest Agile Project Management standards and tools that a team can use to successfully accomplish the project objectives.
Speaker: Alberto de Marco, Politecnico di Torino, Italy (POLITO)
Dr. Alberto De Marco is a Tenured Associate Professor with the Department of Management and Production Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, where he directs the Executive Master Program in Project Management for Business Performance and Innovation and teaches the Project Management graduate classes. He provides executive education in the areas of Project Management, Operations Management, and Public Private Partnerships at various institutions.
He is appointed professor at the ESCP Business School, the Catholic University in Milan, the Tongji University in Shanghai, CDI, the Kazakh-British Technical University and the Turin Tashkent Polytechnic University. He was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he served as a Visiting Lecturer for the Project Management class.
He acts as Coordinator for the Project Management Lab http://www.reslog.polito.it/PMLab/ at Politecnico di Torino. He works as part of the Engineering Systems and Logistics Research Group.
He is Director of the ANCI National School for Local Municipality Administration.
He has been acting as Principal Investigator in several research and consulting projects sponsored by Invitalia, the Italian National Ministry for University and Research, and several private institutions and companies.
He is an international member of the Committee of the Portuguese Agency for the Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education.
He formerly worked as a Project Manager in France and Italy, founded and directed three start-up companies.
Alberto De Marco earned his M.Sc. in Building Engineering and Ph.D. in Project Management from Politecnico di Torino. He attended part of his graduate education at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris.
Dr. De Marco is author to more than 140 publications including books, research papers, book chapters and research papers published in international prestigious journals.
He is a member of the Project Management Institute and the System Dynamics Society.
Married with two children, lives and works in Torino (Italy), fluently speaks Italian, English and French.
